I am curious by nature, creative at heart, and happiest when I am learning, making, or exploring.

I am Zascia, a Cape Town creative who is endlessly curious about how people live, think, and make meaning. That curiosity draws me to documentary photography and travel, where I can experience new places and cultures first-hand - even when that means being brave enough to eat a mopane worm.

Learning is another way I explore the world. My undergraduate BSc in Information Technology centred on programming, and in 2027 I will continue my studies with a BSc Honours in Information Technology and an elective in IT Law and Ethics. Together, these interests let me move comfortably between technology, design, and human stories - and help me make complicated ideas feel clearer and more thoughtful.

The three technologies at the heart of most of my development work.

JavaScript gives me a flexible foundation, TypeScript adds the clarity and safeguards larger systems need, and Node.js carries that same language into dependable server-side applications.

Together, they let me move comfortably between interfaces, APIs, integrations, and the operational tools behind them.
